A breathtaking sunrise over the Indian Ocean, captured from the International Space Station, reveals Earth's atmospheric layers in stunning detail. This unique perspective allows us to observe Earth's atmospheric layers. The lowest layer, the troposphere, appears orange-red as sunlight scatters through particles of dust, smoke, and smog. Above it lies the stratosphere, a clear blue layer extending up to 50 kilometers into space. The region directly above the stratosphere is known as the mesosphere where sunlight where sunlight fades into the darkness of space. Credit : NASA web.
